I was supposed to look for my mgmt comms bk today so i went to causeway point popular but couldn't find it...

Next thing i knew, i was in a game shop and den i bought twisted metal black! hahah =)...the game i have been looking for very long le...when i saw it, i knew i had to get it (impulse buy haha)...not too sure if i will have the time to play hahaha(not tat i really bothered when i decided to buy the game...i know i surely will find some time for it hahaha)

And i still do not have my mgmt comms book...lol =D

Another week of sch over!

Haha...i'm still in the relaxing mood after 2 wks of school with lessons/meetings etc...the pressure apparently hasn't gotten to me yet as compared to some other ppl i see (or maybe i'm juz ignoring it altogether lol)...

Went for softball clinic today! It was fun learning the throwing and batting basics...hahha i've always liked the game of softball so today was really quite cool to juz get the feeling of playing it...not sure if i will eventually join it though (with my other commitments and interest in other ccas like handball and samba masala(if i do get in, that is), it's gonna be a hard decision to make...)

After softball clinic i kinda rushed down(altho i waited like 20 mins for the bus haha) to admin building to bathe be4 meeting my sports camp peeps for dinner at glasshouse fish & co...was damn late by an hour plus...i'm so sorry guys haha...the food arrived even be4 i did lah -_-"...but it was great to have an outing with all of them once again...after all, they were the first frens i made from smu leh besides those i already know beforehand lah(duh!)...haha...we are gonna go sports fiesta together! haha looking forward to tat...

The wkend ahead seems to be quite packed for me(or rather i made it that way) hahaha...tmr morning make-up lesson =( which prevents me from going bball for yet another wk(it's been damn long since i touched the bball)...still undecided on whether to go for handball clinic in the afternoon altho i moz prob would and den there's beach volleyball on sunday(again, i'm not sure if i'm going) which kinda leaves me with little time for my studies...how gd is tat huh? hahahhaa...still slacking and enjoying myself without really tinking much abt academic stuff...

Ok as you can infer from this post, i love sports very much! =D

Ok so i woke up at 5 am this morning to run the 21 km AHM at 630 am flag off timing (some of u muz tink i am damn crazy)...HAHAHA...ran for about 11 km before slowing down and walking...den after tat was juz a series of run,walk,run,walk etc until the end when we ran past the finishing line(how to not run when got so many photographers taking photo there? haha)...the feeling of completing the 21 km was really great man =D...haha...a sense of accomplishment to me lah(even when i haven trained much which thus explains the way i completed my last 10 km...haha with soaking wet socks, stiff thighs and almoz-cramping calves...)

And so here i am blogging about my greatest achievement since how long ago with my legs feeling like jelly and i am wondering what it will take for me to travel to school the nxt few days as i take the mrt and walk from city hall to lkcsb...haha...hopefully the legs will recover asap if not i foresee myself really staggering with each step towards my destination and that ain't gonna be a good sight...haha...

I realised that i have many pages of readings to do and yet i am still here blogging! haha..talk abt procrastination and relaxing huh...i tink i do those damn well...lol...ok i'm signing off here BYE!

Hahaha the first wk of school's over! acty it ended for me yest lah becos i friday no lessons but had cca day today! haha...walking up and down the concourse and signing up for lotsa diff cca stuff...within the nxt few wks den muz see my schedule and really decide on wat i wan to join...haha...

Anyway the lessons have been alright...slowly getting adjusted to the new system of learning...but can feel that things will pick up soon...the readings to be done, the projects to work on, the assignments to complete...oh well a senior mentioned that being lost in the first 2 wks of school is still ok...but not if it carries on for the whole sem...hahaha...so best is if i get my work done consistently it shouldn't be tat bad after all...lol also been meeting lotsa new ppl as well as seeing many familiar faces around...from pri school all the way to army...

Despite the sianness and fatigue i get sometimes, i am still glad with the way things are now =)

At the end of the sem, i hope to be able to say the same... hahaha...

School officially starts tmr!

Haha i was shopping at bugis today with eugene, edwin and zixuan and while having lunch, i saw a few students from Balestier Hill Secondary who still recognised me and said hi...lol =)...and brought me to the realisation tat i haven blogged abt my relief teaching experience thus far altho i said i would some time ago...hahaha...so now here i am doing it...

Ok so the story goes that i got hired by BHSS as a relief teacher from 2nd Jan 2008 (as to the process of getting hired, u can ask me on another occasion...it's quite a long story for me to type it out here hahha)... And i was really happy becos it was the job i wanted to try out (i din wan a 8 to 5 office job where i would be staring at the comp all day long or doing admin work which i know would eventually bore me)...lol and of coz i like the dynamism and interaction with others (students and staff alike) in the school setting...

Yeah so it took a while for me to adjust to being a relief teacher...taking over lessons from other teachers and teaching the students Maths (and sometimes other subjects too), giving them handouts and worksheets to do or juz plain letting them do their own self-study in class...it was a challenge at first with the students having their own different personalities...of coz the good ones were no problem...the bad ones caused quite a lot of mayhem but eventually i learnt how to deal with them as well...in the midst of it, there were times when i felt really bad for not being able to control them but as i come to realise, there's a reason why a discipline master is appointed in school and another reason why i dun tink i'll ever be one...hahaaha...

Maintaining gd relationships with the students and staff was something that i really wanted to do and i tink i achieved that goal...being able to communicate with students and hear their problems, sometimes giving them my (very valuable) advice and helping them along the way was something worth remembering becos i also learnt a lot from them at the same time... at the same time, making frens and acquaintances with various staff members also linger in my memory...how we helped each other to complete tasks, how we went for lunch together etc...haha...

At the end of my tenure, i had already (and quite unexpectedly) done around 5 months of relief teaching (the march and jun hols dun count haha) and it all seemed to pass so fast... when it was time for me to leave, i really felt a sense of belonging to the school...not something tat can be wiped away tat easily...there were bad experiences for me while i was in school but overall, there were more good ones that i cherish until now =)...

I kinda miss relief teaching in BHSS nowadays...haha but it's time for a new experience...tat of university coming up in a week's time...hahaha hopefully it'll be great...=D

Ok so some ppl have been asking me why i haven't blogged in quite a while...basically it's down to the following 2 reasons:

1) Laziness
2) No inspiration

Haha...alright here i am now...last sunday nite was spent with my army buddies...a meetup be4 everyone starts their uni life in different places...good to see moz of them again altho some couldn't make it after all for one reason or another...

Den timetable came out on monday...and bidding commenced on wednesday...haha being a first timer i was really confused over matters on bidding and courses etc but after some research and discussion with frens and seniors, things became much clearer...altho there was still headaches over what to bid for and how much to bid etc...

Eventually i got the courses i wanted...timetable doesn't look too bad with friday being a free day for me =)... so in a way i can totally immerse myself into studying (as if i would haha) for 4 days and after tat relaxing during the long weekend...hopefully i can juggle my tuition and other stuff together with the projects, presentations etc required of my mods and excel in them too...hahaha...now tat sch hasn't started, at least i still got the luxury to slack for one more week...hahaha...altho i can feel the sianness setting in slowly...lol...

And my exams will end by 26th november which is one day be4 my 21st birthday =D...haha the timing so nice lah! can celebrate and enjoy without having to worry abt any more exams...lol...

Den went for bondue (business) camp from wed to fri...haha it was truly very WET AND DIRTY!!! hahah it was good advice by my facis to wear a set of clothes to throw away after the station games...super dirty stuff smeared over the hair, face and clothes...ewwww..hahah...but of coz fun lah...den went sentosa for amazing race on the 2nd day...talking of which i have been to sentosa a few times for my camps the past month but i am acty tinking of going there one of these days with frens to chill out, play beach volleyball, soccer (maybe get a tan? haha =P) etc...hahaha...i tink will be damn fun lahhhhhh...but gotta see who wan to go sentosa and also when we all free...which makes me tink of us not being able to go cable-ski together be4 uni starts...oh wells hopefully nxt time =) haha...

Nxt wk's gonna be relatively freer becos there are no more camps or briefings to attend...haha...got a few group outings and tuition onli...plus convocation on saturday...besides those events, i tink i shld be slacking around...maybe making a trip down to nus or ntu...hahah...see my schedule how first lor...lol...

I juz came back from FTB camp yest afternoon(for those of you who dunno, FTB stands for Freshmen Teambuilding)...haha compulsory 3 days 2 nites sch camp for all smu students...and be4 the camp, there were already rumours of it being a little boring as compared to other camps...

But of course, it was totally different! Haha i felt really great and happy going thru the whole camp and learning alot as well as having lotsa fun along the way...also my group THURA totally rocked lah(i tink it's really the ppl in the grp who determine whether the camp will be fun or not based on their enthusiasm and team spirit more than anything else)...haha...everyone was so into the group and really bonded together damn well...great bunch of peeps tat i am so proud of to be in the same group with...hahaha...ok i am juz gushing over how great the camp was and how rocking my groupmates were but the feeling's juz indescribable man...hahah...woot and three cheers to everyone in THURA!!! =)

Having Bondue(business) camp nxt wk...already heard that it's gonna be damn dirty and wet which kinda puts me off a little haha...and of coz comes the same generic feeling of reluctance to go for something be4 it starts but ending up enjoying it loads(hopefully for this one too...)

EPL's starting soon...hahaha...looking forward to another season of exciting football ahead...altho sch's also starting le...on 18th acty which is later than nus and ntu...hahaha...now i'm thinking of visiting nus/ntu/both one of the days be4 i start sch myself...juz go look around and find frens for fun...lol =D...and i have half a mind to make my timetable free on monday morning so tat i can catch sunday late nite epl matches...haha...still rmb last time in jc, always will quite heck care tat nxt day got sch den will stay up late juz to catch more soccer action...now it's quite possible tat i might do it again...haha...

And to answer the question that's been going around these few weeks: Am I looking forward to school starting again?

My answer: Yes for the frens and fun and activities, No for the studying(i am not a mugger! haha) and late nites to endure completing projects and presentations...
