130 am: Supposed to sleep but ended up chatting with my sisters

2 am: Asked my younger sister to chat with me

240 am: Younger sister left my room, supposed to sleep

3 am: Remembered that I had to send an email and turned on my laptop

330 am: Sent out my email, blogging and blog-hopping now with a slight temptation to watch man u in about 15 mins

I've got school tmr =)

I wanted to blog-hop to other ppl's ones from my own and den i realised i hadn't blogged in more than a week so here i am...hahaha

Well this past wk was not that gd...juz felt quite sian during one or two days of lessons and din have that energy and enthusiasm going for me...i tink it muz be the lack of sleep that caused the lethargy...but luckily as the wk went by, things got better...emotionally i felt more uplifted from my sad state previously...at least the wkend came and i got to meet up with yf and eugene to celebrate the latter's birthday...den saturday my ltb grp went to visit the old folks again! haha...it was really gd seeing them again and they really welcomed us happily... =)

There was econs makeup lesson yest too and somehow i opened my mouth and talked more than usual which should be the way...however it's juz not my style as of now to keep participating actively in class...bleahz...things can and should onli get better...

And of coz my father's side of the family had our reunion dinner tonite...a really great meal and so much food to eat we had lotsa leftovers =X haha...i juz can't wait for cny to come nxt wk!!! =D

Patron's day will be coming soon which means more work and deadlines to meet for me...as always, i am very busy which kinda sometimes makes me wonder what i would be doing if i totally had none of what i am committed to now...perhaps i would juz be slacking ard at home playing computer games or watching shows...or juz going out more to orchard road and town and buy new clothes (i haven gotten my cny clothes yet haiz)...or (with a very small probability) i would be studying much more diligently and making sure i know my sch stuff really well...haha...i push myself on knowing that whatever happens, i will really learn a lot from all these experiences and enrich my own life as a result...of coz there are also other benefits like making more frens and enjoying myself in all the fun etc etc which i also look forward to and hope will materialise...i mean who wants to go into something knowing that he/she will feel unhappy and complain all day long abt it?

Thanks guys for the concern...i am better(emotionally) already altho i'm a bit sick now with the coughing -_-...lotsa ppl falling sick and there are reports that maybe it's to do with the uncommon strong winds blowing in singapore spreading the virus around hahaha...i acty love these winds alot except when they blow so hard my bedroom door slams shut so loudly...

Ok the 1st post of 2009 is here!

Haha new year = new expectations, goals, wishes and dreams (altho some will of coz be similar to the past ones)...

Sch's started already (sian)...haha new classes, new classmates albeit with quite a few frens and familiar faces i see...still the feeling is quite sian when entering a different class from last sem's and not knowing tat many ppl in the class after all...hahaha well tat's y they say uni is really a place to interact with ppl from different faculties and backgrounds etc etc...haha

Lessons have been quite gd so far...I like ms... bgs and as/ct seem interesting...haven had intro econs and fa yet so wouldn't know too much abt them until i go for the first lesson...haha...

I'm maintaining a hectic schedule similar to last sem's (if not more hectic haha)...it's kinda like there are lotsa things ongoing hahaha...

CNY's coming! =D all the angbaos and goodies!

And i need to exercise!!!

2008 has been a good year overall...lotsa diff experiences and episodes of life to think and talk about =) that means this is gonna be a long post...hahaha...

Did relief teaching as a job for the first six months of the year at balestier hill sec sch...i still rmb the vice principal and some teachers guiding me along the way, teaching me how to take the students in hand, showing me the diff places during my first week...slowly i learnt where the diff classes were (including the art room and workshop which i haven't encountered in a long time)...and soon, i was also adapting to the whole schooling environment...national anthem during morning assembly and den lessons here and there...when got break den go canteen eat haha...

Also enjoyed my time with the students and staff there...altho certain students got on my nerves sometimes (considering i dun get angry easily), the majority of them were still alright and i had quite a lot of fun with them...teaching them maths and talking to them about their lives, getting to know them better...i believe in some ways, i like being a teacher/mentor to others and help them if i can...as for the staff, they were really very helpful and sometimes we even got treats from them =)...haha...and i also made frens with the temp staff who were juz like me, working for a few months onli...at least i still keep in contact with one of them up till now 6 months after we've stopped working there... =D

In March, I also started giving tuition to 2 brothers passed on to me by a tuition agency...again a new experience as they were my first tutees...it took a little time for me to get used to the way of their learning based on their experiences with past tutors as well as in school and from there, i kinda came up with my own style of teaching...it's mainly a soft approach with lotsa encouragement while at the same time making sure they dun take advantage of my kindness and slack...haha...i'm still teaching them this year and hopefully their results will improve further as i teach them more...haha i dun wan to earn money when their results aren't better...

In June, I had another student from my own sec sch as a tutee...teaching him A Maths until his O lvl exams in Oct/Nov...

Went overseas twice last year...to Hong Kong with family and Taiwan with 1mba peeps...i really like to go overseas and these 2 trips were really fun too with all the shopping, eating, sightseeing, enjoying etc...wun mind going back these places and more again this year! haha

Entered into smu in aug...and attended 3 diff camps be4 sch started...sports camp and ftb were really great while bondue was not as good haha...made lotsa new frens and really had fun...as the sch term started, i got an insight into how life in smu would be...after hearing all about the mugging spirit and ultra-competitiveness, i got to witness it myself in school...haha thankfully i dun follow this culture...

Overall, i like my life in smu...coping quite well with academics for the first sem (and hopefully for all the others in future =P), joining samba masala and enjoying myself during pracs and soon-to-come performances, organising patron's day which will be a really valuable experience, bonding well with my grp mates and some other frens along the way (not forgetting my bunch of army dudes who went into smu with me too hahaha), it's been quite a journey thus far and there should be many more experiences nxt time... =D
