    Children's Day

I spent my Children's Day by going out with sec 4 wushu buddies today...call it a post-prelim stress-relief slacking-before-going-back-to-mugging outing...

So we met at orchard and watched the movie "4 Brothers"...ok my first nc-16 movie i tink..haha.. i thought that the movie itself was quite gd...although it was quite violent and had lots of vulgarities being said thruout the movie... gives a true reflection of mankind's emotions of hate, revenge etc... of coz in real life this should not happen esp. in singapore..budden it juz makes u think abt how ppl can actually be so cold blooded when it comes to exacting revenge on others...

and den i also thought of "War of the Worlds" as another example of how it reflects real life in the form of Hurricane Katrina... with ppl escaping desperately... and also ppl resorting to crime during the whole turmoil... sad but true...

ok so moving on... we went to play pool which was really fun becos i hadn't played it in a very long time... den had dinner and played lan be4 going home...hahaha...so overall it was a really enjoyable day to spend with the others...

anyway after this wkend...i tink it's gotta be back to studying for the big one ahead...the one which can determine ur fate in the future...no 2nd chances at all...sounds like going to jail ah...haha..but at least now the ex-convicts got the yellow ribbon project to help them...what abt us students? ><

we got the post-prelim remedial programme!!! haha crapping...budden that's prevention rather than cure...like a form of education or deterrence to would-be-criminals so that they will understand and know how to differentiate right from wrong and thus not commit crimes after all...

    blah blah blah...

the As are like so near yet so far...so short yet so long...so easy yet so hard...

and everyone muz be really hoping for it to finish soon...

so that can play and slack and really do almoz whatever u wanna do...except commit crimes of coz...

and den soon it'll be "Reporting for duty" for the guys and "Reporting for work" for the gers (assuming that guys will naturally go NS and girls will naturally go work next year be4 their admission into U)

and den as i continue this blog entry, i will "quote" what one of my teachers said be4:

"Do you know that when u go out to work, it will be a much different situation from now when u are studying? When u are absent, ur colleagues will not tell u whatever u have missed. You have to go find out for urself." (I cannot rmb the exact phrasing and stuff but the meaning is there...)

Ok so actually what my teacher was trying to tell us was that being absent from school too often (esp. when it's ponning and not really being sick) isn't a good thing becos u tend to miss out on the day's work and lessons and stuff. And also, even if it's very easy to catch up with whatever u've missed thru asking frens and borrowing notes to copy etc for now, the thing is that in future, when u are absent from work, ur colleagues wun be that nice to actually tell u everything that has happened when u are not around.

And this is quite true in society in general...with all the intense competition going on in this dog-eat-dog world, there will inevitably be situations where u will feel that u've been backstabbed or betratyed by ur working partners, colleagues or frens... obviously i hope none of this would happen but it's almoz quite impossible to have no experience in these kind of situations... haha...

it's like if u wanna be the best, u wanna be the top man for the job, then u gotta really make ur way up, by hook or by crook...

ok so i actually dunno why i am typing all this out...perhaps becos i feel that this kind of competitiveness existent in society sux... budden at the same time, nothing can really be done to eliminate it among ppl, countries etc...

why not tink how nice it would be if everyone were to juz do what they can with their utmost ability and live together with peace and harmony without all the competition... ok wishful thinking... it would only lead to other problems like decrease in efficiency blah blah blah...

    lol crappy entry...
