It's good to be able to relax at home for a unusually long period of time...to enjoy the simple life of doing what i wan and not needing to worry about work...haha..to enjoy the delicious homecooked food that is far superior than outside food...to enjoy my own bed as i laze around in the afternoon...
So my elder sister came back on saturday...brought back lots of food and prezzies as i expected =X..haha..and thx to her for buying a man utd scarf for me which i assume isn't cheap...and hearing of her experiences, it juz makes me wanna have the chance to go overseas for exchange in the future...den i can put the scarf to good use...haha..
Anyway, our whole family had a nice "welcome" dinner with her at hachi tei, a japanese stall in china sq food centre...i have always loved jap food...sashimi, sushi, handrolls, tempura etc...
And brings back memories of myself learning jap during sec sch...it was a good experience, juz that perhaps i din have the perserverence and diligence to carry on learning amidst my other commitments and so i quit in sec 2 (not that i have much diligence for moz things to start with in the first place =P)...well to say i dun regret it would be lying...japanese was interesting in the way some characters are linked to chinese words and look almoz similar and yet they convey diff meanings...haha budden again most languages are interesting in their own manner...and now when i know of a few frens of mine taking jap lessons/being able to understand and converse in jap, it juz sort of stirs up some feelings inside me...and sets me tinking "maybe i shld go learn japanese again?"...however knowing myself well enuff, perhaps now's not the time for me to start as i have other things to settle first...perhaps in the future den i may consider it again...by tat time i could be wanting to learn another language...who knows?
