So i touched down last night at changi airport after a really wonderful and enjoyable 5 days 4 nites at taipei, taiwan...and i shall be blogging abt my whole journey in a few parts here..haha
The story of 7 dudes whom on their ord trip, go to taiwan, a place where none of them has been to before...
1st Day:
Boarded Jetstar flight 3K521 from Singapore to Taiwan at 1 pm and reached Taoyuan International Airport in Taiwan at 640 pm... (there's no time diff at all between both countries)
Den a coach brought us from the airport to our hotel, Kilin Hotel, located near the Xi Men Ding area...on board the coach there was a tour guide by the surname of Liang who was to be our tour guide for the 2nd day city tour too...haha..he introed us to Taiwan and her people, cultures and other interesting stuff...
Interesting tidbit 1: Ppl drive on the left hand sides of their vehicles in Taiwan unlike Singapore...
Upon reaching Kilin Hotel, the first thing we noticed was the 7-11 juz beside the hotel...very convenient.. den we checked into the hotel and went to our rooms...be4 we went to taiwan, i read some online reviews that Kilin Hotel wasn't gd and a few even criticised it badly..budden it was much better than what i personally expected..heard that they underwent a renovation juz recently and i tink it was worth our money staying at Kilin thruout the whole trip..
Proceeded to Xi Men Ding (XMD) after washing up...and had beef noodles for dinner at a small restaurant discovered while on the way to XMD...the soup base was really delicious while the beef slices were thick and tender...
XMD is made up of shopping centres, shophouses by the street lanes and small stalls selling various things like food, clothes, accessories etc...drank a super big cup bubble tea and tried a doughnut from Mr. Donut...it tastes diff from those from donut factory..it's crunchier and harder, not soft at all...den walked around a little longer and took in the sights of ppl shopping in taiwan be4 we headed back to our hotel to slp...

Interesting tidbit 2: Taiwan's bubble tea shops all serve it in big cups and the amount of pearls they give is almoz double that of what singapore bubble tea shops give...
End of Day 1...
