I've been thru a lot in 2007...altho it was a year when i din have to go to school at all and study for impt exams tat would determine my future or have any cca trainings/sessions, 2007 was also the year tat i got exposed to lots of new things, made lots of new frens and gained lots of experience...
Now tat i tink back abt 2006, i tink i was leading quite a monotonous life den as compared to last year...perhaps it's gotta do with army blues or something...however, in 2007, maybe u could say i got very used to army life and was juz awaiting my ord date to arrive, thus the atmosphere seemed more lively and exciting, there were more happier moments i feel and the general mood was much more positive amongst everyone...
The taiwan trip was great fun, many unforgettable memories from there...first time overseas with frens, the feeling's diff but nonetheless superb (becos u get to do things tat u wun do with parents around hahahha =P).. joke aside, it's learning abt how to be independent and take care of urself plus those around u while u are abroad in a foreign land..
My NS stint overall was still quite positive i feel even though there were certain disagreements, disappointments and displays of pure nastiness at times...of coz there were also times of fun and laughter, of joy and celebration..at the same time, i managed to make a few close frens who i really know can be trusted upon and we'll constantly keep in contact in future =)...
Last time i did volunteer work mainly for the hrs = cip points haha...but come this year, i felt tat i had alot of time on my hands when i was gonna clear leave nearing the end of the year so joined creativehome with its dustbin painting project..and i would say tat it's really been an eye-opener for me...in terms of learning and helping out etc...making frens, talking crap...some say i joined becos i wanted to know more girls...haha to tat i will neither deny nor admit...lol...i'm a helpful person ok...><..shine in 2008 will be another positive and enriching experience for me i hope...
This year, i also got exposed to the nightlife in singapore (and taiwan as well haha)... went to pub and club a few times with my army mates..and i would say the experience is still alright to me even though some ppl might think of it as wrong/sleazy/dirty etc...i said be4 tat clubbing was not for me in the past but perhaps tat was when i was young and innocent (not tat i am not young and innocent anymore hahaha =X)..it's juz come to the point where i get exposed to it as another lifestyle option, a culture tat certain ppl tink is an integral part of their lives while others diss it as wasting time and money...it's all abt knowing ur own limits and wat u can or cannot do..like i dun really like alcohol and i dun wanna get wasted = i drink slow and little..and of coz on the dance floor, it's another matter altogether what u choose to do/not do...
Finding a job after i ORDed was something tat kinda blew me away...mozly becos i din expect it to be tat time-consuming and troublesome..haha...poring thru job websites, signing up with recruit agencies, sending in resumes and going down for interviews etc...it's a kind of rollercoaster ride where u are quite sure u are gonna get the job and suddenly u dun meaning tat u have to search for another one = more time wasted...haha at least i remained quite optimistic thruout the job-finding process even though it got quite sianded at times...and finally i got to become a relief teacher which hopefully i can stay on till june or thereabouts(everyone pls hope and pray for me tat i wun be jobless after nxt wk which is a possibility...hopefully it wun come to the point where i am deemed unnecessary haha) and i still rmb watching the pursuit of happyness while in the midst of finding a job during the dec hols...the show evoked certain feelings in me as i could sort of relate to will smith's character in trying to make ends meet..haha not so serious a problem to me as compared to him but in a way it made me tink wat i would be like if i had no income and onli expenses to show for..haha..
Family and frens will always be an integral part of my life and this year's been no different from previous ones with me trying to have as many meet-ups/gatherings/dinners/outings/chalets blah blah with as many ppl as i can..haha..the wkly chs bball session is something tat i din expect to have surfaced at all but i'm very glad it did =)...also not forgetting the many movies and meals i've had with u guys and girls...now u all know why i'm always trying to organise outings whenever i can even though i'm sianed sometimes hahaha...it's all abt keeping in contact and communicating with one another and not forgetting each other...
Talking abt soccer, i'm damn happy tat man u won the epl last season...haha..and this season's been quite alright so far barring a few disappointments here and there...so hopefully they can retain the championship once again bah..
Dota's become like the 2nd home(virtual of coz...the 1st home is msn) for moz of the 1mba clan ppl this year...haha..with moz of us either in army (or rather, the point is we are not studying haha =D), we have more time for computer games and tat's where dota comes in...there's talk abt stopping it altogether come 2008 but i dun really see any improvement as yet..haha..still early bah it's onli 2nd jan today..lol..
Finally, i've come to the moz exciting part of this dreadfully long entry -- girls!!! haha..my parents got ask me be4 why i dun have a gf and to tat i have no answer...lol..well i can say tat i've made many more female frens in 2007 as compared to 2006 (which i tink stands at a grand total of 0 hahaha) but it doesn't mean anything at all...see what 2008 has in store for me in the love department bah lol...
