    The Soft Approach

Having a sore throat for the past few days isn't a good thing... Missing out on wonderful exciting bball games and interesting movie meet-ups, all i have done is stay at home... At least i am catching up on my shows if that's a consolation haha...

I made a few startling discoveries this week, some good, some bad...And it just makes me think of life in general... How someone can be influenced so much by his surroundings and those around him that he changes for the better/worse... How communication really helps in understanding another person... How problems can be solved in different ways...

I've always taken a softer approach when it comes to punishment... As much as i myself prefer to get lightly scolded instead of being punished, i often prefer and practise the listen and learn (i tell u where u go wrong and u learn from there) to the scold and sulk (i scold/punish u angrily and u end up sulking and tinking that i suck) That's because i believe there's no benefits in blasting the poor guy as compared to knowing him better thru conversation and helping him from there...

But no method can be said to work for all situations...there's usually a combination of both being employed together and or in even more drastic cases(and as much as i dun wan to but u leave me no choice), only the latter would suffice...in which case normally i wun be the one in charge anymore but instead juz an informant to the higher authorities who would den settle the matter...

Juz a reflection (which sounds somewhat angsty lol) of what i've experienced the past few months... "Spare the rod, spoil the child"? I think the child is the onli person who can answer this question truthfully...
